This cause was especially close to us, as one of our team members knew some of Agape Vision’s co-founders. Through those relationships, we came to understand their heart and mission: reaching out to at-risk youths who have been abused and marginalized, and building a community rooted in agape love between youths, volunteers, and the wider society.
Agape Vision was looking for volunteers to support their adulting sessions, which were held almost every weekend over several months. These sessions were designed to help prepare youths for adult and working life, and our team members took turns committing their weekends to be part of this journey.
During these sessions, we shared and explored practical topics such as career pathways, job searching, financial management, and other aspects of adulthood. The conversations were open and honest, and we often found ourselves learning just as much as we were sharing.
Beyond the sessions themselves, we were also grateful for the opportunity to support Agape Vision in another way — by helping them develop their website. As a digital-focused team, this felt like a meaningful way to contribute our skills to strengthen their online presence and support the important work they do with the youths and the community.
What stood out to us throughout this journey was the resilience of the youths and the dedication of the volunteers who show up consistently. Being part of this experience reminded us that impact can take many forms, whether through time, shared knowledge, or behind-the-scenes support.
We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute alongside Agape Vision in ways that truly mattered.
